Segrenti War: The returned Artefacts will be sent back after 3 years per international laws – Historian
Ghanaian cultural historian, Teacher Kantanka has disclosed that artefacts which have been returned to Manhyia will be sent back after 3 years.
The Historian speaking on Kessben FM’s Breaking News noted that per the agreement on international law, the artefacts will have to be sent back after years Manhyia.
The artefacts will be put at the Manhyia Museum for public viewing.
The paramount Chief of the Juaben Traditional Council, Nana Otuo Serebour had apparently confirmed that the first set of the artefacts stolen during the Sagrenti War has been returned from the Fowler Museum to Manhyia.
The seven-piece collection of artefacts touched its home soil for the first time in since 1987.
The historian noted that per international laws when things are acquired or stolen during war, in accordance with the world laws they are no longer the property of the former owners thus why they will be sent back after the agreed 3 years.
