‘Manhyia’s summon’ – NDC is not behind but some of our own NPP executives – Chairman Wontumi’s special assistant, Andy Owusu

The Ashanti regional Chairman of the NPP, Antwi Bosiako, aka Chairman Wontumi was made to appear before the Kumasi Traditional Council on Monday following some utterances he made in correlation to a misunderstanding he had with the Kokosohene.

According to the special assistant of the Wontumi, Andy Owusu, some NPP executives were behind fanning flames for Wontumi to be disgraced by the Traditional council.

Speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Akuoko Kwarteng, Andy Owusu debunked reports that it was the opposition Party who was behind to ensure the leader of the NPP party in the Ashanti region lost favor before the royal house.

Andy stressed that the people who were behind to ensure Chairman Wontumi were some of their own NPP executives.

Following its meeting on Monday, the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC) chastised Nana Kwaku Duah, the Kokosohene, for using his partisan politics to bring the Manhyia Palace’s name into disrepute.

The council claimed that the disagreement between him and Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was only partisan in nature and wasn’t appropriate to bring before the Kumasi Traditional Council for resolution.
