The Next Black Stars coaching appointment will bury or rescue us – Newton

The Ghana Football Association sacked Chris Hughton following an abysmal campaign in the 2023 Cote Di Voire AFCON.

The Black Stars yet again could not make it out from the group stage of the tournament after they failed on the same feat in the last edition which was held in Cameroon.

The Ghana Football Association is set to make another appointment to fill the vacant position as the nation prepares for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

Sports pundit, Peter Newton Lartey reckons, the next coaching appointment will be a rescue mission for the Ghana Black Stars or completely bury the dead sorry state of the National team.

The FA has indicated that the next appointment will be made by the end of February 2024 as Ghana will be looking forward to playing Argentina in a friendly in March 2024.

French-born Havre Reinard has emerged as a top candidate to land the Black Stars coaching job per early reports.
