‘Black Stars gave away two free goals but Kudus is a boy wonder’– John Mahama
The Black Stars, according to former president John Dramani Mahama, performed a fantastic match against Egypt in the 2023 AFCON, but they lost up two goals.
After Ghana’s entertaining 2-2 tie with the Pharaohs, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential contender said this.
In their match against the Pharaohs, the Black Stars blew a great opportunity to take the lead in Group B due to defensive errors.
Mahama described Mohammed Kudus as a “boy wonder” and said it was a great game.
“Boy wonder, Kudus. Great game! We gave away two free goals!” the former President wrote on his verified page.
After completing a late fitness test to be included in the starting lineup, Kudus appeared poised to give Ghana the victory.
Even though the West Ham player scored twice, his efforts were insufficient as Egypt twice overcame a goal deficit to earn a draw, thanks to goals from Mostafa Mohamed and Omar Marmoush.
