Gov’t gives Black Stars supporters in Ivory Coast $400 each after threatening to return home

According to reports, after threatening to return home, several supporters of Ghana who were transported by the government to the Ivory Coast for the 2023 AFCON were given $400 as compensation.

After the supporters threatened to return home because of the organizing groups’ lack of cooperation and support, the money was made.

After landing in Ivory Coast to cheer on the Black Stars, the approximately 355 fans felt abandoned, they said in a press briefing.

In the press brief, the traveling fans confirmed that they have each received $400 from the Government following their outbursts regarding the neglect.
