I will be supporting Ghana at AFCON – Andre Ayew’s Ivorian wife says
Ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Yvonne Ayew, the Ivorian wife of Ghana captain Andre Ayew, has thrown her support behind the Black Stars.
After being married for a while, Yvonne and Andre are blessed with two kids, Maha and Inaya.
Given that the Ivory Coast is hosting this year’s AFCON, Yvonne would be correct in feeling that her allegiances were split between her native nation and her spouse’s.
Though she acknowledged that she would be pleased to see Ivory Coast win as well, she has chosen to back Andre and the Black Stars as they pursue victory.
“Being Ivorian, it’s a question you probably get often. Who do you support this year?” She responded by backing Ghana.
“This year, I support André. He’s in the Ghanaian team. But, if Ivory Coast wins, I’ll also be very, very, very happy,” She told Canal Plus.
