The media played an important role in helping me rise in politics – Sammy Awuku, MP for Akuapem North
The member of Parliament for Akuapem North,Sammy Awuku has stated that, he had great passion for serving the people in Akuapem North.
Speaking on Kessben Maakye show,Accra,Awuku stated that, the media played an important role in helping him to become the NPP youth organizer.
Sharing that, whether NPP/NDC, each person is mandated to aid in the advancement of the country to the next level and for Enterprise Ghana”.
He revealed that,in 2012,it was his dream to become the MP for Akuapem North constituency emphasizing that, Akuapem North has a vast consistency.
He stated “ I won myself into the heart of the people”. He again said that, despite becoming national youth organizer in 2014,he still had plans of becoming the MP for Akuapem North”.
In 2022, after ending his tenure as National Youth Organizer, I decided to contest for Akuapem North, he stated.
Sammy Awuku shared his experience in the last eight months as an eye – opener. He admonished the Minority leader, Honourable Afenyo Markins,Patricia Appiahadjei for their immense support. I have learnt team work as an MP, he adds.
He figured out that about 30% of the inhabitants are below the Mamfe Hills, who are mostly farmers.

Sammy Awuku has completed 8 projects in 8 months within bigger and smaller towns in Akuapem.
