Let’s Be Measured And Circumspect With Our Utterances- Most Rev Boafo To Political leaders.

In a bid to promote a peaceful and constructive atmosphere in the lead-up to the upcoming General Election, the presiding bishop for The Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev Dr. Paul Kwamena Boafo, has emphasized the importance of circumspection and respectful dialogue among political leaders and their followers.

Addressing the press ahead of the 2024 General Election, Most Rev Boafo urged political leaders to prioritize addressing issues rather than resorting to insults, intemperate language, or actions that could inflame passions and lead to conflict. He stressed that despite belonging to different political parties, Ghanaians are first and foremost citizens with a shared destiny.

“We belong to different political parties, but that doesn’t make us enemies. We are first Ghanaians with a common destiny,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, Most Rev Boafo called on all Ghanaians to think, speak, and live in a manner that promotes peace before, during, and after the elections. He encouraged everyone to pray for the victory of the nation and to work towards a brighter future.

As the year draws to a close, Most Rev Boafo also extended his heartfelt Christmas wishes and prayers to Ghanaians. Acknowledging the challenges faced throughout the year, he expressed optimism for a brighter tomorrow, where positive change can prevail.

“At this Christmas, let us live as people of hope who are expecting Christ’s presence to change situations for the better. It is my prayer that we will all step away from the busyness of modernity to allow the timeless message of Christmas to speak to our hearts and bring us hope,” he shared.

With his messages of circumspection, peace, and hope, Most Rev Dr. Paul Kwamena Boafo continues to play a vital role in fostering unity and encouraging responsible discourse among Ghanaians as the country prepares for the General Election.
