What’s the crime of Ghanaians? Why should you be taxed for moving money from your wallet to your bank account? the greed is too much

After several complaints by Ghanaians, the Ghana Revenue Authority made us to believe that if anyone is taxed for moving money from his or her MOMO account to his bank account or vice versa it is an error therefore will be rectified soon.

Days after this information was made known by the GRA, the situation still persists which divulges that It is not an error that they claim.

Another narrative has also been that people who have not updated their bank accounts with the Ghana card are the ones being taxed for transferring money from their MOMO wallets to their Bank accounts or vice versa therefore those who have not done so should go to their various banks to update the accounts with their Ghanacards to end the tax charges.

I went to my Bank to ensure that my Ghana account was updated with my Ghana card last week but the situation still persists this morning when I tried to withdraw money from my bank account to my MOMO wallet, they placed a tax charge.

We just hope this is a challenge that is being currently resolved. What crime at all have Ghanaians committed to be treated this way?

Is it too much greed from our authorities? Ghanaians are being charged e.levy on their MOMO wallets and now to move money from your own bank account to your own MOMO wallets, you are also been charged. This must be a sheer wickedness.

If this continues, the money they are looking for will soon collapse the banking sector which they are already raking from. Some of us will be left with no other choice than to stop saving our money at the bank to avoid these unreasonable taxes.
