‘Seniorman’ busted for joining Police Training School with fake KNUST certificate he made
A recruit named Sadam Sumaila has reportedly been arrested by officials at the Pwalugu Police Training School in the Upper East Region for applying for a position with a fictitious degree.
Upon enrolling in the training program, the 28-year-old’s aspirations to become a police officer were dashed, however. Using a forged degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Sadam gained entry to the course. His complaint over his rank during training raised suspicions, but no one followed through.
The truth was revealed to the authorities when they examined his records. His certificate was fake; it was not authentic. As a result, Sadam was taken into custody. He acknowledged that he created the fictitious certificate in 2020 when questioned.
The small town was horrified to learn of Sadam’s arrest since nobody in the community could have imagined a police trainee doing such a thing.
