Ayibge Edem facing trial after allegedly knocking down a woman to death with his car
Rapper Edem was arraigned in the Kaneshie District Court on Monday morning, December 12, 2023, for an alleged incident involving the knocking down of a woman on the George Walker Bush Highway last Saturday at around two in the morning.
The “Nyedzilo” hitmaker was allegedly operating an unlicensed Honda Touring at the time, according to a post on Graphic.com.gh.
The woman, who has not been named, sadly passed away, according to court records.
When Edem went before the court, which was presided over by Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo, he was charged with two counts of recklessly causing hurt and careless and inconsiderate driving.
Edem did not enter a plea during the court hearing, nevertheless.
The rapper must appear in court again on February 15, 2024, and has been granted bail in the amount of GH¢50,000 with two sureties.
