We’ve identified & confirmed our internal challenges & possible we will end our marriage with Michael Osei – Bibiani Gold Stars
The Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Gold Stars, Kwasi Adu has revealed that the club may officially end their contract with the Club’s head coach Micheal Osei who has been asked to step aside following a bad run in the 2023-24 Ghana premier league.
The CEO of the club speaking on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action Sports show with Joe Laka reiterated that the club has identified the internal challenges and they will take the necessary decisions to avert the situation soon.
“We will come out of the situation very soon. It happens in football. We will make the right decisions and get the solution.
We realized that after matchday 4, unexpected injuries started coming in and by matchday 7 things got very bad. We had to manage the rest of the games.
We’ve identified and confirmed our internal challenges. It’s not financial, no one can come and say we owe him or her.
There was one-sided interest, Not a big problem, something small which is manageable.
For Micheal Osei, he’s done a lot for the club. In his first season, he did very well, did well in the 2nd season but in the third season, the expectations were very high considering the investment and all that. I can’t score him 100%, I will pass him in some areas and some not pass him in some areas.
We’ve not officially ended our contract with him. He still takes allowance and all that but it’s possible we will end our marriage with him” He said.
Bibiani Gold after playing 13 games in the 2023-24 Ghana premier league lies 16th on the league log with 12 points.
