On the day of their wedding, Chaturong Suksuk, a Thai para-athlete, shot and killed his fiancée as well as two other people.
The report also stated that two guests were struck by stray gunshots and were taken to the hospital right away, where one of them passed away.
According to some sources from Thailand, Chaturong may have felt anxious about his age difference with Kanchana because the couple got into a fight during the celebration.
However, police clarified that this was still conjecture, saying they had gathered evidence and would be wrapping up the case “soon.”
According to Thai media cited by the BBC, Chaturong and Kanchana cohabited for three years prior to being married.
The groom was a talented athlete who competed in the 2022 Asean Para Games in Indonesia and won a silver medal in swimming.
He was reportedly rumored to be among the athletes competing in Thailand the following month at the World Abilitysport Games.
While serving with the paramilitary light infantry squad that guards Thailand’s borders, Chaturong suffered the loss of his right leg.
