Buduburam: Fire outbreak leaves over 10 shops completely destroyed

In the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, a fire breakout at Golden Gate Junction, a Gomoa Buduburam suburb, has destroyed over 10 stores and caused property damage valued at millions of Ghana cedis.

Hundreds of truck tires, brand-new air conditioners, electrical appliances, cylinders, and supplies used by chop bar operators were among the many goods destroyed by the fire.

Speaking on Breaking News with Kwasi Ntiamoah, Reporter Mireku Nyanpong of Kessben FM stated that the fire possibly began as a result of an electrical malfunction at 4 a.m.

The victims reportedly called representatives of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in a last-ditch effort to put out the fire, asking them to cut the main transformer so that firemen could get involved.

Their requests were ignored, though, and an electrician was able to turn off the transformer.
