There’s a difference between hate & you not being someone’s favorite, The industry doesn’t hate us – Asakaa’s Kwaku DMC
One of the pioneers of Ghanaian drill music, Kwaku DMC has rubbished assertions that there’s hate in the Ghana music industry targeted at the Asakaa boys.
Reacting to a question of whether his famous Asakaa music group is being hated by some top Ghanaian industry players, the impeccable rapper asserted hate might be too strong a word.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Music Plus with Mr Bonez, Kwaku DMC stressed that there is a difference between hate and you not being some people’s favorite with regards to their craft in the Ghana music industry.
“There is a difference between hate and you not being someone’s favorite. I don’t think there is hate or something like that. They may not like us. We are not their favorite, I don’t see that as hate. I see this everywhere. People have their favorite” He said.
The Asakaa music group made up of music talents from Kumasi received massive endorsement for the recognition of “Ghanaian Drill” by The Grammys recently.
Kwaku added that by being consistent with the Ghanaian Drill music, very soon Ghanaians musicians will bringing home Grammy awards.
