GFA clears Yaw Annor to play for Togo senior national football team
Former AshantiGold SC winger, Yaw Annor has been cleared by the Ghana Football Association to feature for the Togolese senior national football team.
It will be recalled that Yaw Annor switched nationality from Ghana to Togo last year after having a great season in the Ghana Premier League where he emerged as the goal-king of the 2021/22 premier league.
Yaw Annor after winning the Golden Boot Award with 22 goals started the process to switch his nationality from Ghana to Togo until September 2022 when he successfully completed the switch.
Ahead of Togo’s 2026 World Cup qualifier games with Sudan and Senegal, the Togo Football Federation wrote to the Ghana Football Association seeking clearance on Yaw Annor who is set to feature in the upcoming games with Sudan and Senegal.
Kessben Sports checks reveal that the Ghana Football Association has cleared Yaw Annor and thus makes him eligible to play for the Togo Senior National Football Team.
Togo will play South Sudan on Thursday 16th November 2023 in Libya and host Senegal in Lome on Tuesday, 21st November 2023.
