Kumasi-Sunyani Road: Road turns deathtrap as authorities sit unconcerned (Video)

Erosion has eaten into a major part of the Kumasi-Sunyani main road at Tweapease leaving motorists at risk.

Kessben FM’s reporter, Mallam Yahaya reporting on Kessben FM’s Breaking News with Kwasi Ntimoah said the bad state of the portion of the road has been there for about three months without any attempts to fix the situation.

According to him due to how the erosion has created a huge ditch, it has made it practically impossible for two vehicles coming from opposite end to ply the road simultaneously.

The bad state of the road has also made it very perilous to ply during dark hours as vehicles as likely to end up in the ditch.

According to residents and motorists along the road, they have made several calls to the authorities for the road to be fixed but all have fallen on deaf ears.

As the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta reads the 2024 Budget in Parliament on 15th Nov 2023, the motorists are hoping money will be allocated to fix the road which has now become a deathtrap.
