Very Beautiful Black Woman Becomes UK’s First Blind Lawyer Against Odds

The 23-year-old Jessika Inaba of Camden, North London, has achieved a historic first in the United Kingdom by becoming the nation’s first black blind barrister.

Using Braille, Jessika finished her five-year legal education at the University of London.

With the aid of friends and instructors, Jessika was able to finish her studies in spite of her blindness using the Braille writing system, which uses raised dots for writing.

In addition to pursuing a master’s degree and professional training, she began her legal studies in 2017.

Her diligence paid off, as she soon became a member of the United Kingdom Bar, becoming one of the few blind and black women to do so globally, albeit first in the UK.

Due to a condition known as bilateral microphthalmia, which causes smaller-than-usual eyes, Jessika is completely blind.

“I’ve always believed in myself, and I know I can do this job well. The more people like me who go through training, the easier it will become for others.” She said.

Despite numerous obstacles, she never gave up on her goal.
