More Dangerous than Schools Under Trees: ‘We close whenever the weather is cloudy, We have only 2 teachers’ – Students of Deathtrap school in Breman (Video)
The school building of the Breman Akroma D/A school at Asikuma Odoben Brakwa district in the Central Region has turned into a big deathtrap as the building continues to deteriorate over the years.
According to a report filed by Kessben FM’s reporter in the central region, the school now only has two teachers teaching from KG to JHS due to the bad state of the school building.
Speaking on Kessben FM’s Breaking News with Kwasi Ntiamoah, Kakyire Kofi noted that almost all teachers who have been posted to the school have left and had to process for transfers to elsewhere due to the horrible condition of the school.
The school which has a population of about 500 students currently has only two professional teachers at post.
One of the teachers noted that whenever the weather is cloudy they will have no other choice than to close and let the pupils go home because the building cannot shelter them while it rains.
