NPP Canada Pays Courtesy call on Bawumia

A delegation from NPP Canada, led by its Chairperson, Vicky Owusu -Ansah, has paid a courtesy call on the newly elected NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Accompanying her was Prince Akyereko, 1st Vice Chairman; Philomena Boateng Asiedu, Canada Women Organizer; Jemima Mingle, Canada Deputy Women Organizer; Francis Amoako, Canada Treasurer.

The rest were Stephen Osei Owusu, Canada Third Vice; Andrew Boadu, Deputy Organizer Canada; Vanessa Otuo-Acheampong, Peel Chapter of Canada, Deputy Youth Organizer

The visit by NPP Canada’s delegation, which consisted of key party members and supporters residing in Canada, underscored the importance of congratulating Dr Bawumia, fostering strong international relationships within the NPP and supporting the party’s leadership as it prepares for the 2024 general elections in Ghana.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who was elected as the NPP’s Flagbearer in the just-ended NPP flagbearer elections, welcomed the NPP Canada delegation with open arms. The Flagbearer expressed his gratitude for their support and commitment to the party’s ideals, emphasizing the vital role that the diaspora plays in the NPP’s vision for the future of Ghana.

The meeting

During the meeting, the Chairperson conveyed the enthusiasm and dedication of NPP Canada in supporting Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy.

She spoke of the Canadian NPP’s unwavering belief in the Flagbearer’s leadership and vision for Ghana and reaffirmed their commitment to mobilizing resources and support for the party’s campaign efforts.

Dr. Bawumia, in response, praised the NPP Canada delegation for their dedication to the NPP’s cause and their efforts to promote the party’s values in the diaspora.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining strong connections with the Ghanaian diaspora and harnessing their energy and resources for the party’s development.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from both sides to continue working closely to advance the NPP’s objectives and to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign in the lead-up to the 2024 general elections.
