According to a report filed by Kessben Sports, most of the executive council members of the Ghana Football Association want the Black Stars coach Chris Hughton’s contract terminated before the 2023 AFCON.
Following Black Stars’s recent abysmal performance in the two friendly games with Mexico and USA, the executive council is convinced that the former Brighton Manager can not lead Ghana to any significant feat at the upcoming AFCON in Ivory Coast.
Sources say the Football Association has been contemplating the decision to sack Chris amid the huge financial compensation that will come with their decision.
It is soon expected for the FA to engage the Ministry of Sports and reach a conclusion on the matter.
The president of the Ghana Football Association took to Facebook and left a cryptic message regarding the issue.
