NPP Will Come Out United And A Winnable Candidate Will Be Elected – Secretary NPP Presidential Elections committee

The Presidential Elections Committee of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the party will elect a winnable flagbearer in the November 4, presidential elections, who win a third term victory for the party in the 2024 general elections.

The statement comes in the wake of fears by rank and file party people that the hinted nature of the campaign can rock the fortune for the party, allowing the NDC some energy to attempt to cover politically lost grounds.

In an exclusive interview with yesterday, Mr William Yamoah, Secretary of the committee, said that candidate the Nov 4 primaries process will produce will be winnable in defeating the opposition flagbearer John Dramani three times on the trot.

He, therefore, assured and rallied delegates and footsoldiers particularly, under a united umbrella to effectively prosecuted the 2024 campaign.
Mr Yamoah also assured all stakeholders, including the flag bearer hopefuls of the party, of its commitment to produce an accurate and credible voters register.

Cooperation

The Secretary underscored the significance of cooperation, both among aspirants and the party’s rank and file, in achieving the party’s “breaking the 8” slogan.

He lauded the collaborative efforts of the media, Electoral Commission, Ghana Police Service, flagbearer aspirants, and other key stakeholders.

Mr. Yamoah explained that the aspirants had actively participated in committee meetings, which had resulted in a consensus on detailed election modalities and guidelines.
“For the aspirants, they have attended almost all meetings we invited them, and we have been having weekly meetings and even times they unable to make it, they assign their reps to come and they have been very punctual. Truth is, discussions have been very warmth and we are able to build consensus,” he added.

Based on this, he said the committee has proposed voting centres in each constituency capital across the country, and these recommendations are expected to be reviewed and accepted by all stakeholders.

In addition, the committee is actively working on a proxy list, and Mr. Yamoah expressed hope that all parties involved would cooperate throughout the election process.

He assured that the committee would ensure a fair, transparent, and unbiased electoral process.
With an optimistic outlook, Mr. Yamoah anticipated an impressive voter turnout, based on reports from across the nation, indicating high levels of anticipation and excitement among Ghanaians. “Everybody wants to be part of the history,” he declared.
