Nations FC rakes GHC71,000.00 from Kotoko clash at Dr Kwame Kyei Stadium

The newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, Nantions FC recorded their highest stadium attendance so far when they played against Regional rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

Checks by Kessben Sports reveal that Nations FC grossed approximately GHC71,000 from the gate proceeds last Sunday.

The 12,000-capacity stadium was full to the rafters when the two Ashanti region premier league clubs faced off in the matchday 6 of the 2023-23 Ghana Premier League.

Nations FC took the lead in the 50th minute of the game when Kotoko defender, Henry Ansu scored an own goal.

Kotoko responded swiftly by drawing level and taking the lead a few minutes later through Mukwala and Micheal Kyei Dwamena.

A last-minute penalty was awarded to the home side after the ball struck the hand of Kotoko defender, Nana Benyin leading to the Nations FC equalizer ending the game 2-2.
