Hustle for Daily Bread: 21-year-old dies at Galamsey site after falling in a pit
A 20-year-old man identified as Anderson has passed away after falling into a Galamsey pit at Sewfi Boazan in the Western North Region of Ghana.
According to a report filed by Kessben FM’s reporter in the Western North region, Obrempong Kwame, the Galmasey site is owned by some Chinese in the Western North region.
The Victim according to eyewitnesses had been working together with his friends at the Galamsey site for some time until his demise.
It is said that he apparently told his colleagues at the site that he was going to bathe and later only to be found lifeless in one of the mining pits.
Meanwhile, one of his friends back home has revealed that before his demise, he called him on the phone telling them he was coming home but unfortunately, the line dropped as he heard some sound of strangles.
His body has since been deposited in the Sewfi Hospital Mortuary as investigation by the police continues.
