Ghanaian rapper, Strongman has expounded why most often he would not let beefs and banters slide without having a bite.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Music Plus with Mr. Bonez, the hardcore rapper enumerated a number of reasons why he replies banters, trolls, and beefs targeted at him.
According to the the Odo Nkoaa hitmaker, he will not let banter just slide especially on social media because it is very important to tell some folks to stop misbehaving.
He asserted that by getting into these banters and beef, and replying to trolls he as a musician somehow leverages with regard to numbers.
“If you sit somewhere and write and say I’m not a star, that does not have an effect on me. If in someone’s mind, he feels you are not a star, that’s not a big deal. The head of your family is also not a star. Those things do not get to me.
I reply to some of these things because I want to show them, that not all musicians are the quiet type. If you misbehave, we will let you know and tell you to stop the nonsense. That does not mean I’m hurt by what you said to me.
Sometimes too I write to reply because, at the end of the day, I will get some new 3K or 4K followers.
With my 982,000 followers on Twitter, I did not get all from rapping, I got some through beefs, banters, etc. I also got some through sensible posts I put out there.
The musicians who are usually quiet and put their hands in their pockets usually fade away early. Shatta Wale for the last 2-3 years hasn’t had numerous hits like before but because of the beefs and banters, he is always in the news and that is getting him shows” Strongman said.
