SAD: ‘Daakyehene Pilato’ commits suicide 2 weeks after girlfriend broke up with him
A 26-year-old man, Joshua Boakye widely known as Daakyehene Pilato in Wassa Dadieso in the western region has allegedly ended his life following a breakup by his girlfriend.
According to a report filed by Abena Badu, Kessben FM’s reporter in the Western Region, Pilato was found lifeless in his room with a rope tied around his neck.
The mother of Pilato apparently thought her son had gone out with friends but unfortunately was not so.
The mother of Pilato and other family members began to look for their relative whom they never thought was at home around that time because his door was locked.
After not finding Pilato anywhere, they decided to break the door of Pilato’s room and to their dismay, they found the lifeless body of Pilato hanged.
His close friends confirmed that the past two weeks had not been easy with their friend whom they advised to move on after his girlfriend broke up with him.
Pilato was a royal from a royal home and thus heir to a throne which was why he bore the name Daakyehene.
