Kasoa: Medical doctor left in coma after heavy beatings by ECG officials

A medical doctor identified as Dr Amos Kwarteng was brutally beaten by a taskforce team from the Electricity of Ghana following some disagreement between the Doctor and the ECG taskforce.

According to a report filed by Kessben FM’s reporter, Mireku Nyankong on Kessben FM’s Breaking News, the taskforce said that the doctor had made an illegal electricity connection.

Meanwhile, according to the Doctor, he had not made any illegal connection stressing that for the past two years, he has not received any bill from the ECG which he has consistently written and complained to the ECG office but has not had not good response to solve his problem.

In a bid for Dr Amos to prove his point, tempers fled which resulted in the beatings by the task force.

Dr. Amos argued with the task force that he even has letters as evidence to prove his point of complaint about not getting bills over the years.

After the heavy beatings, he went into a coma for a while and was taken to the hospital where he works, the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa.

Mireku noted in his report he is now responding to treatment.
