I will be shocked if Alan decides to run as an independent candidate -Addai Nimoh
The NPP presidential candidate Francis Addai Nimoh, expressed that he would be taken aback if Alan ran as an independent candidate.
According to him, if Alan runs as an independent candidate, he automatically disassociates himself from the New Patriotic Party(NPP) as the constitution of Ghana states.
Francis Addai Nimoh, during an interview on Kessben FM’s Maakye, highlighted the significant role the Patriotic Party (NPP) has played in Alan Kyerematen’s career. From 2001 to 2004, Alan served as Ghana’s ambassador to the United States under President John Agyekum Kufuor before assuming the role of Minister for Trade and Industry in 2005.
“When the party came into power he became the minister for trade and industry for six years in addition to his previous years as the minister for trade,” he added
He indicated that Alan has been the longest-serving minister for trade and industry in the Republic of and if Alan run as an independent candidate he would be surprised because the party in a way has honored him.
