Ghanaians Abroad Group hail President Akufo-Addo at the 78th. UNGA

The President of Ghana H.E. Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo presented a powerful statement at the floor of the United Nations Headquarters in New York at the 78th UN General Assembly.

Ghanaians Abroad Group could not be overjoyed as they saw their President in New York and staged a solidarity rally in support of their president before, during and after he delivered his statement. They were seen with colorful placards and banners of inscriptions detailing the proud achievements of His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo along the route to the UN and again at the UN Park.

Amidst drumming and dancing to Ghanaian tunes, Ghanaians Abroad Group chanted praises to the President who waved at them while he departs to the UN General Assembly.

At the United Nations Park was even massive solidarity for the President when he took to the floor to make his statement while the Ghanaians Abroad group watched him on their phones, drumming and chanting while the President speaks.

The applause became even louder when in his statement he called for the payment of reparations to black Africa and blacks of African Decent for the many years of enslavement and atrocities meted out to them and retorted that if slave owners were shameful paid reparations for lost of income from losing their slaves after the abolishment of slavery, then it is morally right and just to compensate the descendants of slaves and also countries whose kinsmen were taken captive.

A trifling number of disgruntled anti-government protesters up to 4 in number, were completely trashed by the massive Ghanaians Abroad Group.

At some point, they had no choice but to join in the drumming and dancing from the Ghanaians Abroad Group drummers and singers.

The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has always enjoyed the usual hospitality of Ghanaians Abroad and again also did not disappoint in his statement and delivery.
