Kessben FM/TV’s sports journalist Fred Achee enrols on IOC masters course

Fred Acheampong, a sports journalist for Kessben FM/TV and a member of the Ghana Football Association Executive Council, is one of the prominent administrators who has enrolled in the Executive Masters in Sport Organization Management program offered by the International Olympic Committee.

An international panel of academic experts chose the program’s suitable applicants from 80 applications that were submitted to the University of Ottawa-run program.

Fred who is also the treasurer of the Ghana Olympic Committee will focus on developing professional abilities in the classroom over the next ten months in order to transition and have an impact on sports in his nation.

The MEMOS course consists of seven sessions, each lasting a week, that are held in significant cities across four different nations. The topics covered in each session include governance, strategic management, human resource management, leadership & change management, financial management, and marketing management.

The second module, which will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina in February 2024, will be followed by the third, which will take place in Vaduz, Liechtenstein in May 2024. The last meeting will take place in September 2024 in Athens, the capital of Greece.

Acheampong will have to finish a study project about his workplace at the end of the program.

In the forthcoming election, Acheampong, who serves as the CAF General Coordinator, will run for re-election to the Ghana FA Executive Council.
