Adwoa Safo’s apology is not a sincere apology – Theophilus Ansah Larbi

The secretary for Dome Kwabenya constituency, Theophilus Ansah Larbi has stated that the member of parliament for Dome Kwabenya constituency, Honourable Adwoa Safo’s apology should have come earlier looking at the state of her constituency therefore not a sincere one to accept easily.

Speaking on Kessben TV’s Maakye show with Akuoko Kwarteng on September 15 2023, he explained that Adwoa Safo hasn’t been genuine with the people of Dome Kwabenya constituency. According to him, Safo disrespected the constituency executive committee and over 78,000 people living in the constituency.

“Politics is a serious business and we need serious-minded people to work with. Looking at the things she has done in the past, she has not dealt well with the constituency and the people”.

“The people are very angry and feel disrespected. Dome Kwabenya is the largest constituency in Ghana and we are lacking a lot of developments, especially bad roads. Three terms are enough for you to prove to yourself that you are capable of working “.

According to him, they are serious-minded people in the constituency and the people of Dome Kwabenya are not happy with her therefore do not need her service in the constituency anymore and are not willing to vote for her in the upcoming elections.

“Honourable Afenyo Martin who is the deputy minority leader is a more experienced and serious leader who has shown competency as compared to Honourable Adwoa Safo .

For now, I do not have any power to determine whether she has to be forgiven or not. It is up to the NPP party executives to determine her fate and with regards to that, they need to take certain things into consideration such as assessing her performance over the years” He added.
