Sarah Adwoa Safo apologizes to NPP over her recent behavior (Video)

Sarah Adwoa Safo, a member of parliament for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, has unreservedly apologized for her recent actions to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in particular to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare.

Mrs. Safo made it clear that her acts were unintentional and the outcome of struggles with which she was dealing on a personal and familial level.

Additionally, the former Deputy Majority Leader begged for pardon from the party’s regional and constituency leaders in addition to the Majority Caucus.

She asked all of her supporters to forgive her in a two-minute video message to the nation that was posted on her Facebook page.

Adwoa Safo appeared before the Parliamentary Privileges Committee in 2022 after being away for more than a year. Her seat’s status became a matter of dispute as fellow Majority members argued against National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs and called for its declaration as empty.

The former minister of procurement declared her intention to take part in the party’s primaries for the 2024 elections after arriving in Ghana from the United States of America.
