Female CEO of a Football club marries her top striker
Football striker Bongi “Mdeva” Ntuli of the KwaZulu-based AmaZulu Football Club in South Africa and CEO Sinenjabulo Zungu got married.
Zungu, a Durban native who was reared there, earned a business science degree from the University of Cape Town.
While finishing her MBA, she was stranded in Spain during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Zungu continued her duties as CEO of a forensic auditing company upon her return to the nation before accepting a consulting role with her father’s football team.
She released a video of the wedding on social media on Sunday, giving followers a taste of her special day.
Dumisani Zuma, another AmaZulu soccer player, posted a video of the pair dancing at the reception site to his Instagram stories.
Shaun Mkhize’s buddy Tha Simelane, a socialite in Durban, was one of the guests at the wedding.
The pair wed in a traditional ceremony in May, taking them one step closer to becoming Mr. and Mrs. Ntuli.
The bride was welcomed into Ntuli’s family during the umbondo ceremony, which took place at Ntuli’s house in the KwaXimba hamlet outside of Pietermaritzburg.
Dumisani Zuma, another AmaZulu soccer player, posted a video of the pair dancing at the reception site to his Instagram stories.
The traditional Zulu ceremony is an all-female affair, and tradition forbids the bride’s father from participating.
When giving the mother of the groom and the groom’s community food and blankets during the wedding, the bride is joined by other females.
In order to make her daughter feel special, AmaZulu owner Sandile Zungu reportedly rented a helicopter to drop her off at the alter in elegance.
Due to the high profile of the attendees, security was allegedly tight at the wedding site in the Midlands.
