Akufo Addo to commemorate the first oil from Jubilee south area
His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo will head to the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) today to commemorate and turn on the official first oil from the Jubilee South area.
The Jubilee South-East Area, a section of the Jubilee Field, has received a $1 billion investment from its partners. This investment aims to increase the Jubilee Field’s oil production by an additional 30,000 barrels per day before the year ends.
Following interactions with specific personnel aboard, the FPSO and inspecting key sections of the KNK, the president will participate in a special luncheon event in Takoradi to commemorate the occasion.
Tallow oil 38.978%, Kosmos Energy 24.077%,Kosmos Energy Ghana Investments 14.534%,Ghana National Petroleum Corporation 13.641%Petro SA 2.725%,Jubilee Oil Holdings Limited 6.045% are the interest of the partners.
