Woman attacks Ghana Water Company staff for disconnection (Video)
An employee of the Ghana Water Company Limited in Koforidua was assaulted by a woman whose water connection he had severed due to unpaid fees.
Online videos have been spreading of the irate woman dragging the official around while gripping his long-sleeved shirt around his neck and demanding that he give her the water supply back.
In the footage, the hapless official is seen attempting in vain to break free from the woman’s tight hold while pledging not to reconnect her to the water supply system.
She just would not relinquish the official, vowing instead to hold on to him until he returned her water supply, despite attempts by several onlookers to intercede and beg her to do so.
While some Ghanaians have condemned the woman’s behavior and called for her arrest and imprisonment, others have claimed that the GWC staff deserves justice because they are infamous for mistreating customers.
