Ex-Kotoko CEO Yaw Amponsah allegedly blows GHC15,867 on personal birthday with Kotoko cash
The immediate past Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah is alleged to have spent over Ghc15,000 on his personal birthday with the club’s funds.
According to findings by the auditing team of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah spent a whopping GHC15,867 on his personal birthday and billed the club for the expenses.
Checks reveal that the auditing firm has reached out to the erstwhile CEO to respond to the findings but Nana Yaw Amponsah is still yet to avail himself of the furtherance of the findings.
Three contract documents signed by the club are reportedly also not available at the secretariat of the club, notably the Hisense sponsorship, the Southampton partnership, and the Ceek deal.
Some of the findings found unfathomable by the auditing team that requires much explanation are some monies that were given to some radio stations where the CEO went for interviews. All these were captured as expenses billed to the club.
