BREAKING: Alan Kyeremanteng withdraws from NPP flagbearership  race

Alan Kyeremanten, a former minister of trade and industry, has declared his intention to not run for the leadership of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a press statement signed and issued on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, Alan stated that his reason for withdrawing from the presidential race is a result of the incident that happened during the super delegate elections that took place on 26 August 2023.

He added that the race appears to be purposefully orchestrated in favor of one of the contenders.

” In light of the foregoing, I wish to confirm that I am honorably withdrawing from the process that will lead to the presidential primaries to be held on the 4th of November 2023. In the next upcoming weeks, I will provide an indication of the role that I will play in politics in Ghana.

“The level of intimidation of varying intensity, directly and indirectly, unleashed on a significant number of Delegates at various voting centers across the sixteen regions, is unprecedented in the history of our party,” the statement said.
