17-year-old girl goes mad after a kidnap by Juju boys at Papase, Angry youth threatens to kill suspects
After being rescued, a 17-year-old girl allegedly went insane and claimed to have been abducted by Nigerian juju boys in Awutu Papase.
When the police from the Central East police patrol squad arrived at the area to capture the criminals, there was an exchange of gunshots between them and the suspects from Nigeria.
After the gunfight, the police were able to detain nine men who they believed to be Nigerian nationals in connection with the crime.
Sekyi Ansah, the victim’s father, requests assistance from Inspector General of Police Dr. Akuffo Dampare since the suspects have been granted bail without having to appear in court, and he believes foul play in the case.
If the police do not re-arrest the suspects and bring them to justice, the local youths—who were singing war songs and wearing red and black—threaten to attack the Nigerians.
