Goldline Mining Company to construct 2.5 Kilometers bitumen road for Manso Kansire & Aponapon
Goldline Mining Company Limited at Amansie South District in the Ashanti region has taken it upon themselves to construct the 2.5-kilometer road from Kensire to Aponapon.
CEO of Goldline Mining Company LTD, Mr. Emmanuel Ababio, reckons that if the citizenry does not aspire to help themselves, nobody will do it.
He noted that the road linking to the other farming communities was cut off due to the collapse of their bridge.
“I have lived in this community for the past 16 years, I know 99 percent of the indigenous people are farmers and suffer during the rainy season.
Last week we saw an old lady about 75 to 80 years old crossing the road and it was raining, It took an employee of Goldline Mining company to save the woman, and we can’t let that happen again. That is why the Mining company took it upon itself to do this project. The government has too much on the plate and we individuals can do our best to support the community” He said.
Speaking to Mallam Yahaya of Kessben Media, the District chief executive for Amansie South in the Ashanti region Hon Clement Opoku expressed his profound gratitude to Goldline Mining company and called on the residents of the area not to conspire with the workers to steal the construction materials.
“I thank the CEO and the entire GoldLine Mining company for heeding to our call. When you come to Amansie South District, we have a major challenge when it comes to road network connecting to the other communities
As part of social responsibility as a company, they have decided to heed to our call to construct eight bridges and drainage” the DCE stressed.
Speaking to some residents they said whenever it rains they find it difficult to go to their farms. They also expressed utmost gratitude to Goldline Mining company.
