The Kotoko players should at least win 2 trophies or 1 major trophy in the coming season – Former Captain, Amos Frimpong
Former Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong has tasked the current crop of Asante Kotoko players to at least win a trophy for the club in the coming season.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Extra Time Sports show, the former defender stressed that if the players want to be appreciated by fans of the club they have to at least win a trophy to for the club.
He encouraged the players to at least win two trophies or one major trophy by the end of the incoming season.
“I don’t know their targets with which they come but Kotoko is a club that at the end of the season if you are not able to win a trophy, no one sees you.
All I will tell them is that, they have to put it on their minds that, no matter how difficult the season is they should do well and at least win two or one major trophy so that the supporters and everyone will appreciate them” He said on Kessben TV
The new technical team headed by Prosper Ogum Narteh is already adding about new 10 players to the club after letting go of about 11 players.
Asante Kotoko finished 4th in the 2022-23 Ghana premier league and hopeful to reclaim the trophy from Medeama in the coming season with Coach Prosper Ogum Narteh who led the club to win their last Premier title in the 2021-22 season.
