The Premier League may have lost Harry Kane this summer, but England’s top flight still boasts some of the best forwards on the planet.
Whether you want goals, assists or anything else, you can always find it in the Premier League, with superstars and under-the-radar ballers all strutting their stuff on a regular basis.
Here’s 90min‘s forward power rankings over the 2023/24 season.
10. Callum Wilson

No player managed more shots on target in the first round of fixtures than Callum Wilson, who continues to love life at St James’ Park.
He only managed 22 minutes off the bench, but clearly made the most of them and even walked away with a goal.
9. Ollie Watkins

Aston Villa were objectively awful against Newcastle in their opening fixture, but that wasn’t for a lack of trying from Ollie Watkins.
Rejuvenated under Unai Emery, Watkins put in a great all-round performance and set up Villa’s only goal of the game. We just don’t need to talk about what happened next.
8. Matheus Cunha

Matheus Cunha may not have scored against Manchester United, but he sent a powerful message to the rest of the Premier League in what was a dominant performance.
On another day, Cunha could have had a handful of goals to his name. Not bad for a player who many were writing off when he joined Wolves.
7. Jarrod Bowen

With a dazzling showing in West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, Jarrod Bowen looks up for the battle of dragging his team back to their best.
Bowen bagged a Goal of the Month contender and will hope to keep that momentum going.
6. Kaoru Mitoma

Kaoru Mitoma could be the best one-on-one winger in the Premier League right now.
Brighton’s magician was at it again this weekend as he helped serve a real welcome to newcomers Luton Town.
5. Luis Diaz

Red hot in pre-season, Luis Diaz continued that form over to Liverpool’s first game against Chelsea, bagging his side’s only goal.
Friendlies obviously don’t really count, but Diaz has technically scored in his last three outings. Let’s see how long that lasts.
4. Harvey Barnes

There’ll be far more glamorous signings this summer than Harvey Barnes’ £39m move to Newcastle, but few will be as effective.
Barnes made an instant impact at his new club, coming off the bench to bag both a goal and an assist.
3. Bukayo Saka

You shouldn’t need to be told that Bukayo Saka is one of the best players in the Premier League. It’s common knowledge these days.
Arsenal’s starboy got this season off to the perfect start, earning the Player of the Match award after scoring in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

Newcastle’s embarrassment of riches in attack continues.
The Magpies secured the most emphatic win of the round and that’s largely down to Alexander Isak, who found the back of the net twice against Villa.

Here we go again.
Erling Haaland needed just four minutes of the season to remind us all of what he’s so damn good at, and he’d end Manchester City’s victory over Burnley with two goals to his name. Is his own record in danger?
