I brought short videos in Kumasi, I was the first to use Dr. Likee for skits – Kwame Burger (Video)
Kumawood actor, Kwame Burger has revealed that he introduced comedy skits in the Ashanti region as far back as 10 years ago.
Speaking on Music Plus with Mr. Bonez, the comic actor divulged that he was the one who first used Dr Likee in a short video in the Ashanti region after he had started his Tit for Tat comedy skit.
According to him, his famous skit series which was aired on about 20 TV stations in Ghana started to fade off after his colleague, Mary Addo left Ghana.
“Bonez, I brought short videos in Kumasi. That was in 2013. No one had done that before. I’m not talking about Ghana, Im talking about the Ashanti region, Kumasi.
The likes of Kalyboss were already doing that, which was in Accra. But in Kumasi Ashanti region, I started the short videos. Me and Mary Addo, that lady with big buttocks.
I started with her and more TV stations including Kessben TV and Adom TV were all showing it. After that, other people developed interests and started doing some.
Even Dr. Likee, I was the one who first used him in a short video and people got more interested. The lady I was doing the videos with, Mary went abroad and things became somehow rough for the production” He said.
