W/R: Amenfi East Aspiring MP Organizes Free skill Development Training To Empower Women

The aspiring Member of Parliament for the Amenfi East constituency in the Western Region, Ernest Frimpong has organized a fully funded skill development training for women across the constituency.

Participants were trained in pastries (Pie, chips, cakes, and bread) soaps, make-up, and millinery.

The training which forms part of the aspiring MP’s free apprenticeship program is geared toward equipping the participants, especially the unemployed and youths with the skills for them to be self-employed.

So far, over 800 women across the communities in the constituency have benefited from the free skill development training.

Speaking at a reception held for the participants at Wassa Akropong, the free skills development forms part of his electioneering campaign and he is committed and eager to deliver in order to empower women to acquire skills and trades that would make them economically self-supporting.

He further indicated that startup capital would be given to participants and also some selected trainees would be supplied with the relevant kits needed.

MP Hopeful then advised participants to impact the skills acquired on other women in the constituency.

Ernest Frimpong then rallies support from constituents to vote for him as the parliamentary candidate in the primaries and the 2024 general elections.

The participants describe the training as a good initiative as it has equipped them with the skills needed to be financially independent.
