Kotoko bank account frozen

The main bank account of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been frozen until further notice, Kessben Sports has gathered.

Following the end of the mandate of the Nana Yaw Amponsah’s led management and Dr. Kwame Kyei’s chaired BoD, the ownership of the club directed for the accounts of the club to be audited.

Kessben Sports has learned that no money can currently be credited or debited from the account of the club until after the auditing is concluded.

An alternative account has thus been created for out and inflows of cash for the day-to-day activities of the club and some other operational duties for the time being.

The Interim Management Committee includes Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua who is the Kontomponiaferehene and a chartered accountant.

Other members are former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has been named the new head coach, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, who will serve as the administrative manager.
