Lower your expectations ahead of next season – Sarfo Gyamfi
Legendary Asante Kotoko player Sarfo Gyamfi has advised the club’s supporters in Kumasi to have lower hopes for the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
Sarfo is still optimistic that the squad will do better in the 2023–24 Premier League season, but he thinks it is wise for the supporters to temper their hopes as they enter a new stage.
“This year we should not expect so high from the team. The supporters should understand that. Otumfuo is now involved and putting the right measures in place.
We should not expect so much from the team. This team finished 4th in the league and it should tell you that if we get some additions to it, we will get far” He said on Kessben TV
The Asantehene appointed an Interim Management Committee (IMC) that includes Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, James Kwesi Appiah, Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, and recently appointed head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.
