Akufo Addo commissions an ultra-modern social center in honor of his late wife ‘Eleanor Akuffo Addo’ at Mampong
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo on Wednesday afternoon visited Mampong Silver Stool land in honor of 30 years of the demise of his first wife from the Asante Mampong Bretuo Royal Family.
This social center will serve a lot of purposes for the people of Mampong. It contains, Library, ICT center, Conference room, Hotel, Restaurant, Stores, Banking Hall, Frool for social gathering, Pharmacy and many others.
The President was accompanied by the Minister for Works and Housing Hon. Abu Jinapor, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Kwaku Amptratwum Sarpong Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Member of Parliament Mampong Constituency, and many other Government officials.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in his address thanked the people of Mampong for their support. He advised those going to manage the facility to take good care of it. (Play video) Daasebre Dr. Osei Bonsu Mamponhene on behalf of the Bretuo Royal Family and the people of Mampong expressed appreciation to President Akuffo for making this historic memorial edifice for the people of Mampong.
Daasebre Osei Bonsu emphasizes that the social center is not for his royal family but rather for the people of Mampong. He promised it will be put to good use.
