We plead with Manhyia to appoint an executive BoD chairman – Obeng Sekyere
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Ashanti regional National Circles Chairman, Benjamin Obeng Sekyere has pleaded with Manhyia to appoint an executive BoD chairman for the club following the dissolution of the Dr. Kwame Kyei led BoD.
Speaking on Kessben TV’s Extra Time Sports program with Kwame Mekke, Benjamin Obeng Sekyere opined that an organization like Asante Kotoko would benefit more from the executive chairmanship model.
He stressed that the outgoing model where there are separate BoD and management breeds divisions and in-house fighting.
“We plead that moving forward, an executive BoD chairman should be appointed. That system helps Kotoko and it brings peace to the club.
The separate BoD and management is good which is practiced at most institutions but with football, most often it does not help. therefore we are pleading that the executive BoD chairmanship style should be considered” Owusu Sekyere said on Kessben Sports.
