Manhyia confirms dissolution of Kotoko BoD, Set to announce new Direction (Video)
Kwame Aboagye, the Secretary of Manhyia Chief of Staff Kofi Badu has confirmed to Kessben Sports that the Dr. Kwame Kyei-led BoD has been dissolved by the Asantehene, the owner of the club.
Speaking on Kickoff with Kwame Mekke, Kwame Aboagye said the Asantehene thanked the outgoing BoD for their service over the last three years after he informed them that their mandate will not be renewed.
He indicated that there will be a new direction for the club with an official announcement expected to be made soon as the new season approaches.
“Yes, it’s true. Otumfuo told them that their time is up. He can’t renew their mandate and thanked them. They also expressed gratitude for serving. The majority of the BoD members were present, only 3 couldn’t come.
We don’t have so much time left for the season to start. That’s the main reason why we called them and you know how our supporters are worried considering how time is flying. We’re therefore going expedite things for the good of the club” He said.
The outgoing Bod was made of Dr Kwame Kyei, as Board Chairman; Mr Jude Arthur- Vice Chairman, Kwadwo Boateng Gyamfi, Kwasi Osei Ofori, Kwamena Mensah, Miss Evelyn Nsiah Asare, Mr Kofi Amoah Abban, Mr Martin Osei Kwaku Brobbey, Mr James Osei Brown, Mr Kofi Amoah Abban, MD of Rickworld Oil Group, Mr Martin Osei Kwaku Brobbey, CEO of Lexta Ghana Limited, Mr James Osei Brown, CEO Joshob Construction Company, Nana Ankobeahene of Asanteman – Baffour Kwame Kusi, Alhaji Lamin and Joseph Yaw Adu.
