Ghana is unnecessarily expensive, surviving has become difficult, not to talk of saving – Sammy Adu Boakye

Sammy Adu Boakye, a seasoned broadcaster, has lamented over the high standard of living in Ghana.

Sammy believes that given the high cost of living in the West African nation, the future of the youth in Ghana is bleak.

The host of Kessben FM’s Streams of Life identified a number of significant problems that are eating up Ghana’s youth.

According to him, food in the country is soo expensive considering the average wage of a person working in Ghana.

He emphasized that for a person who takes GHC1000 salary, almost 90% of his salary will have to go into what he or she will eat to survive.

He also sighted the high accommodation charges in Ghana where tenants are required to make two years of accommodation payment.

The last of his three main factors had to do with how healthcare in Ghana has become so expensive to the point where many patients in the country are confined at various hospitals across Ghana just because of their failure to pay their bills.

Putting all these together, Sammy reckons the country Ghana is senselessly way too expensive.

A recent report recently published revealed that better houses in South Africa and some other African countries are cheaper than those being sold in Ghana.
