Football administrators have now turned into agents recruiting & imposing players on coaches – Shaban Quaye
Nii Shaban Quaye, a former team manager of the Black Stars, claims that many football administrators in Ghana have transitioned into football agents.
Speaking on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action Sports show, Nii emphasized that coaches in Ghana cannot be solely held responsible for the declining quality of the game because of the impact football administrators have over their work.
The former Hearts of Oak squad manager pointed out that the administrators should take greater responsibility for the dropped bar.
“I don’t blame the coaches that much. I blame the football administrators. The administrators influence selection.
In Ghana for the coaches I have worked with, it is only Jones Atoquayfio that I can vouch for. You can’t influence him.
The football administrators have now turned it into business involvement because they know the structures are not strong.
Administrators have turned into agents and recruiting players and imposing these players on the coaches” He said.
